WHO WE ARE
Arising from the haunted spirits of the band Uccultum, guitarist Glenn Guimond and drummer Andy Desrosiers join forces with bassist Ed Tausky, of Stepchild, spawning the birth of a heavy all-original doom-metal rock band called KONSEPTIKOR. Their dark lyrics and brooding riffs ooze power and presence. Guimond and Desrosiers toured as Uccultum for a decade throughout New England, Philadelphia, Maryland, and New York. Their recording experience includes sessions at Phase Studios with legendary Engineer/Producer/Mentor, Bruce Falkenburg of Hidden Hand, where they also interacted with doom-metal extraordinaire Wino (Scott Weinrich) of Saint Vitus, and the Obsessed. Bassist Ed Tausky played the Boston and New England Clubs for many years in his bands Stepchild, C-22, and Blanny. Ed played with Mike Hickey of Venom, Kenny Johnson of the James Cotton Band, and opened for Slaughter.
KONSEPTIKOR take their combined energy and diverse backgrounds to new depths of exploration with impactful stoner riffing, space age jamming, and heavy doom devastation along with a well-blended melodic crunch. Their live show will knock you down with talent and technique.
